Fortnightly GAS Sessions throughout the summerThis winter we have had unprecedented demand for track cycling sessions, and despite the constraints faced, we have tried to meet the demand as best we could. Starting on Thursday 15 April, we will be running GAS sessions fortnightly throughout the summer. These will cater for riders who have graduated from the SLIPSTREAM and Group Riding courses. It is hoped that the regular sessions will develop the riders and encourage them to move up to our Thursday night track training sessions, when they re-commence in autumn. Track coach Malcolm Holmes explains: "We have a great many riders coming through our course programme who then find opportunities to broaden their track experience limited. " Track Training nights take a break during the summer but sometimes riders are keen to practise the skills they have learned on our courses. "What we are trying to do is offer these riders regular training sessions with riders of similar experience. so that they learn and grow together. Hopefully they will then find it a lot easier to move onto the Thursday sessions in the autumn "
