For those who have completed a Level Two course and want to extend their knowledge and confidence in boat handling and navigation skills. The course will include boat handling skills, traditional and GPS navigation techniques and passage planning. Students will plan and do an extended daytime passage, which (weather permitting) could include some harbours on the Isle of Wight.

Designed to introduce the techniques used in powerboats escorting racing fleets of dinghies, windsurfers and canoes and providing safety and rescue cover for training fleets and assisting in race management. Candidates must hold a Powerboat Level Two Award and a First Aid Award is strongly recommended.

A one day course designed to brush up driving, seamanship and theoretical skills prior to attending an Instructors course. Whilst awaiting confirmation, in early 2008 it is very likely that this one day course will be mandatory before attending an Instructors course. Please contact us for further information.

This intensive course covers the teaching of Levels One and Two of the RYA Scheme and includes practical sessions afloat and teaching theory. Candidates must have the pre-requisites and experience as outlined in the RYA Powerboat Instructors Handbook G19.
Note from 2008 it is very likely that a pre-entry test (see above) will be required before attending an instructors course. Please contact us for further details.

This high level course aims to teach the safe driving of planing powerboats by day and night, in coastal waters. Areas covered will include boat handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigation. Candidates should be competent to the standard of the RYA Intermediate powerboat certificate and have a thorough knowledge of navigation and chartwork to the level of the Day Skipper Shorebased certificate. A VHF operator’s certificate and first aid certificate are also required. If you are unsure about your suitability for this course please contact us to discuss.

Whether you’re entertaining clients, looking for something different to do with the family or wanting to motivate your staff then we might have the answer. We are able to offer half or full day RIB experiences around the Solent. Using our 6.3 metre RIB, with a fully qualified driver you can navigate around one of the busiest and most diverse bodies of water in Britain. For large groups we are able to charter additional craft as required. Visits to a number of ports are possible, including those based on the Isle of Wight, it’s even possible to get a close up view of the Needles, one of the country’s most recognisable landmarks.
