Calshot Wintersports Festival
The weekend’s storms failed to deter visitors to Calshot Activities Centre’s Wintersports Festival. An estimated 600 visitors attended on the day, testament to the interest in outdoor activities, locally.
Over 250 people took part in taster sessions in climbing, skiing and snowboarding. It was a fantastic opportunity for many people young and old alike to experience some of these high adrenalin activities for the first time.
Over £100 was raised for children-in-need , the proceeds from fun competitions entries, including slack lining, chin up competition and dry tooling
For experienced skiers and snowboarders the "cally jam" provided a free style competition on the ramps and rails of calshot's snowflex slopes
